Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our services, insurance, and treatment approach.

Do you accept insurance?

We are an out-of-network physical therapy provider. This means you pay our cash rates directly, and we provide you with an itemized invoice that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. This approach gives you immediate access to care without waiting for insurance authorization—you get treated today, not weeks later.

Special Note for Medicare Beneficiaries: If you have Medicare, please contact our office first before scheduling. While we can see Medicare patients, there are specific compliance requirements we need to discuss with you.

Why should I choose out-of-network care?

Speed: Start treatment immediately without waiting for referrals or authorization letters.

Personalization: We customize your care specifically for YOUR needs, not insurance company protocols.

Continuity: Work with the same therapist throughout your treatment for better relationships and faster progress.

Transparency: You know exactly what you're paying upfront.

Better Outcomes: Studies show faster recovery when insurance authorization delays are eliminated.

How much does physical therapy cost?

Our rates are transparent and competitive. Please reach out for upfront pricing. Contact us at (704) 662-5597 for a detailed quote. Most patients find that our out-of-network rates are actually comparable to or less than their insurance co-insurance or deductible treatments.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Please bring:

  • loose fitting clothing
  • completed intake form from booking site
  • Any imaging reports (X-rays, MRI, ultrasound)
  • Physician referral if you have one
  • A mentality to overcome this injury

How long is a typical treatment session?

Initial evaluations and treatments are typically 60 minutes. We don't rush—you get quality time with Eric to ensure comprehensive care.

How long does it take to see results?

Many patients notice improvement within the first 1-3 sessions, especially with techniques like dry needling and manual therapy. However, functional improvements typically develop over 4-6 weeks of consistent treatment. Return-to-sport timelines vary based on injury severity and your specific goals.

Can I self-refer or do I need a physician referral?

The beauty of the Out of Network Physical Therapist. You do not require a referral or doctor sign off with care. If a different ailment pops up during treatment we can pivot and address whatever you need without waiting on the authorization process.

Do you treat post-surgical patients?

Yes! We specialize in post-operative rehabilitation for orthopedic surgeries including ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, labral surgery, joint replacements, and more. We coordinate with your surgeon and follow their specific protocols while optimizing your recovery.

What if I have a chronic condition that's been ongoing?

Chronic pain and long-standing issues are some of our specialties. We take a different approach—instead of just treating symptoms, we identify root causes of persistent pain and address movement dysfunction. Many of our chronic pain patients see significant improvement after traditional therapy has failed.

Do you work with specific sports?

We have specialized training for multiple sports:

  • Running: Gait analysis, injury prevention, return-to-run protocols
  • Baseball/Throwing: Overhead athlete rehab, shoulder/elbow care
  • Swimming: Stroke mechanics, shoulder stability
  • CrossFit/Functional Fitness: High-intensity training recovery
  • General Athletics: Strength, conditioning, performance optimization

Can I continue playing my sport during treatment?

This depends on your specific injury. Many athletes can continue modified training during rehabilitation. We work with you to find the right balance between recovery and maintaining fitness, ensuring you're progressing toward sport-specific demands.

What about injury prevention?

Absolutely! We offer injury prevention programming for athletes who want to stay healthy. This includes movement screening, imbalance correction, sport-specific training, and periodization planning to reduce injury risk.

How is our Gait Analysis Different

As one of 2 certified Pose Method Physical Therapists in the greater Charlotte and the only one certified in the Mooresville and Lake Norman Area, we will actually work with you to re-align your running mechanics in order to be more efficient and decrease your risk of re-injury. We will not just analyze your gait, hand you exercises to work on without moving toward a change in your pattern that lead to your injury.
